My second visit to Bruxelles!

L'atomium! It is a giant scale model of a Ferric (iron) atom! It is accurate and you can go inside of it!

 Eyes closed...

 Hohoho not quite... ;)

This was the Horta Museum. He was a famous belgian architect that specialized in the "Arte Nouveau" style. Unfortunately, pictures were not allowed inside the museum. How disappointing.
But it was really incredible, it was Horta's house, but it had been refurbished and turned into a museum!

 A nice view of Bruxelles

A street performer playing Beethoven on a cello... How much cooler can this place get?
 The beautiful city of Bruxelles
 An incredible cathedral
Haha a tandem horse for my friend Ambar ;)

The first time I ever saw Mannekinpiis!

The bathrooms in the really awesome "pub" we went to!

The really awesome pub! It is the same as it was in like the 1880's or something like that!

A pretty view of the Bruxelles garden by night

A dumbwaiter inside the restaurant we ate at. The rest of the kitchens are downstairs.

This was a really awesome experience for me! My host parents took me to Bruxelles and we saw all sorts of things, as you can see above! It was my first time seeing Mannekenpiis, and I also bought a belgian flag! It was a really exhausting day, but it was quite awesome! :) Oh, I also went to the Hard Rock Cafe that they just opened on the Grande Place in Septembre! I bought a collectible pin for my Rotary Blazer and a tee-shirt for my buddy Alex! He collects them. Hope he doesn't read this blog before his birthday, but if he does, oh well!

  1. Well, you finally found the Mannekin Pis! I am so jealous. How are the frites? And the moules? Et la bierre? J'espere que ca te plait!
Tes photos sont fantastiques! Il me semble que la Belgique te convient. Je pense souvent a toi et j'imagine que tu t'amuse bien dans ton pays adopte. Est-ce que ca se dit? Adopte? Bon, a tout a l'heure! Michele

  3. Ummm Mannekin is like a small little man... and pis means piss... There's not much lost in translation... Mannekin Pis is the tiny little statue of a man that pisses into a fountain. I have a few pictures of it. I spelled it wrong, but if you type it in Google, you will see. :)
